You are as vital to the team as you are free from any negative causality that can be costly to the team or be of a burden or inconvenience to the team’s mission and purpose. A business is an entity; and the human being working for it is disposable or retainable depending on output, input, or feedbacks. Work knowing the company can let go of you at anytime of its choosing without emotions or regrets. Work knowing one day you might be out of your job or ask to resigned or be fired. Always learn to have a life away from your job – a life that is fulfilling, beautiful, meaningful, purposeful, driven, satisfying, and happy. A job is a means to the end – its not the end itself. There was life before your job, and there shall be life after your job. Being fired isn’t the end of time but a positive beginning of a new beginning of new opportunities, new trials, and new triumphs. If your job let you go, don’t let go of thyself.
