Politicians sometimes forget the will of the people or the drive they took to the polls, or the doors they knocked or the harsh weather and conditions they endured. Once in office politicians sometimes forget that there is another two years or four years in the making. What is democracy in the eyes of undemocratic systems when the governing political party can’t govern or the party in control of both Houses of Congress can’t legislate but buckle, distract, delay, blame, spin off or spike one another? The people watch in hardship, inflation, high cost healthcare, low wage jobs, high cost housing, crumpiness, crumbling infrastructure, a pandemic out of control, an economy on wheel chair, hope for the future battered, and doubtful trust Still, the people out of patriotism and belief in the spirit of greatness and revival, trust in the system – for it’s the best that humankind can offer. Please, let not down the the people. Get your rambling house together and do your job – legislate and lead. The leader can’t be the opposition, else there is a dereliction of duty. Govern or let others govern.
