If a book is scarier than a gun or than hate, bigotry, racism, or sexism, then think again. We should be careful where we are leading as we declare a “War on Books.” Humans came from books. Humans are the product of books. Human civilizations are beneficiaries of the books of the past. No past history, no present civilization. But books should have their educational and enlightenment value – not let to be twisted or distorted for a particular motive, narrative, purpose or goal. Al PHIL.050123. Let history be told the way it was made – else history makers be suspicious of making history – for fear of historical distortion, misappropriation, malfeasance, misinformation, disinformation, or miseducation. Those who ban books or distort to destroy the history of the past, should worried about the future generations distorting, destroying or misrepresenting or banning or cancelling the present History that they are making today. PIZ. Imagine a generation in the future distorting or destroying the history of the Russian War in Ukraine today, or a generation saying the war didn’t even happened, or a generation reversing that history, or misrepresenting the atrocities on Ukrainians – to fit their Machiavellian gaols or malicious intentions. Before you ban books, think of the future negative causalities. Or think that it might happen to you too. Uncomfortable history must be told unconditionally.
